I started giving my 55lb dog a 1200mg human supplement per day with total omega 3 fatty acids of 720mg.
Dermaquin (for dogs) suggests three 250mg per day for a 40-60lb weight.
Question is, can my dog continue to take human fish oil supplements? I doubt there is any difference…
Yes, your dog can continue to take human fish oil supplements. They are very healthy for dogs, they help with joints, just like with humans. We recommend this a lot. We usually suggest to dose for a human, and follow the bottle, so your dosage sounds just fine. This is something that your dog can be on forever and it will prolong any arthritis or other joint issues.
Dr. Mehmet Oz has his own TV show and is often a special guest on Oprah. He says to take DHA Omega-3 Fish Oil daily to help reduce chances of dementia. It’s important for kids to take Omega-3 supplements because they are related to the development and intelligence of children.

I have been taking fish oil supplement capsules for over a month now, is it okay for me to continue taking it?
Yeah, I take these supplements because I don’t eat fish and so I need a source of Omega 3 fatty acids for which I consume fish oil tablets.
Its just to obtain all nutrition.
Another reason why I take these is because I have a little bit attention problems, so in order to improve my health, I considered taking them……
Yes, it’s OK. I don’t think you really need them, but you never mentioned why you take them. A 16-year-old usually does not have this as a concern.
According to my doctor (who has been taking care of me for 17+ years) the over-the-counter ones are not strong enough to have much of a health benefit. The best thing to do is modify you diet. There is a prescription-strength medication that is primarily Omega3 fatty acids (I forget the name) specifically for cholesterol, that actually target high cholesterol levels.
Seeing that you are only 16, I can only guess that you are interested in the skin-and-hair benefits. I had taken these supplements without any recognizable differences in either.
Which brings me back around to my original query: why do you take them?
